Intro Blog Post

Hi guys, my name is Margaret. I am a licensed tattoo artist and esthetician in Minneapolis, MN. I wanted to launch my blog with an introductory post for those who don’t know me or don’t know me that well!

I am currently 23 and started my beauty career in March 2020. I was unfulfilled in my third year of college pursuing a degree and working in healthcare administration. I knew I was meant to do something bigger. I got a random thought at my lash appointment to start microblading. I was unsure what I needed to even do it, but quickly learned the basics. I took out a $12k loan, using my car as collateral, to register for a class and apprenticeship. My parents were worried about this quick career change, but my sisters both said it made so much sense. I’ve always loved beauty and specifically brows.

I took my 6-day course in March 2020. Lockdown happened the week before my apprenticeship was scheduled to start. I didn’t start tattooing until June 2020, but finished my 200-hour apprenticeship and became licensed quickly. I loved my class and apprenticeship even more than I expected and have been drowning myself in further education this past year. I have taken two advanced permanent makeup classes, along with a few other free online courses. I also completed 600 hours and graduated from Esthetician school in the first half of 2021. I am so ready to bring new knowledge and services to my clients.

I want this blog to be a source for permanent makeup artists as well as clients. Permanent makeup isn’t discussed often, and it’s a big decision for a client to choose their artist.

I am still learning how to use the blog section of my website, so bear with me. I want to make a disclaimer that this is just how I choose to do things. I have taken tips from multiple different teachers, as well as found my own way to do some things. You or your artist may have been taught different, and that doesn’t mean they are wrong or I am wrong. Just doing things differently! I hope you subscribe and find the content interesting and helpful.
